Janet has been taking her dog to visit the residents of a local nursing home. While there, she noticed a resident's bird feeder was empty. Although it meant wading through hip deep snow, Janet began filling the bird feeder. Others found out and asked Janet to look after theirs as well.
Although Janet is herself a senior, and on a fixed income, Janet faithfully buys the bird seeds and fills the feeders because it brightens the residents' day. How does she pay for all the bird seed? She sews "magic bags" and sells them. All of the profits are used for the bird seed.
There are few things that can be done to brighten the days of our friends and relatives as they reach the end of their lives. I admire Janet for seeing something that would help, doing it and finding a way to make it possible.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
