My mom has always been my best friend and the most loving mother and grandmother to my children. She is now caring full-time for my daddy who has lost his mind to Alzheimers. She is not even recognized by him and still performs loving service to care for him daily. I don't think I even know how difficult it is, she is not one to complain. She just continues to give loving service to her eternal companion's body as his mind has already gone on. The task is relentless and unending and probably very unsatisfying. But still she gives it. She only knows how to love and she has always shown love by doing for others. She is a true gem and I love her and know that she loves me. I am very grateful for her example of perseverance and enduring to the end.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
