This sounds cliché, but my hero is my mother. Some would say that it's a man's job to do physical labor on the farm, but my mother defies that stereotype. My mother is unlike any person I know. Her charisma and sense of humor fuel me. I know that if I’m having a bad day I can count on her to make me laugh. She can drive a tractor and wrestle down a calf, but she still finds time for her family. She’s packed my school lunches for the past thirteen years (something I’m truly going to miss when I move away from home!) My mother has shown me that I can do anything I set my heart to. Something I greatly value is that she's never once judged me. In fact- when it came time for me to apply to universities, she encouraged me to follow my dreams and passions. I value my mom’s work ethic. She just goes to prove that with a lot of hard work you can accomplish anything. If anyone ever needs cows to be chased, my mother is the woman to call. You’d think that chasing cows would be boring, but not with my mother. You can always assume that there will be laughs involved. She’s always been there for me through thick and thin- a value that I believe every hero should possess. My mom is a hero in more ways than one, and she continues to amaze me each day!

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
