My hero is my daughter, Meghan. She continually shows me the struggle of the human condition. It is not always easy, but it is something we have to face day-by-day; minute-by-minute. At every moment we have a choice to love or be afraid. Being afraid is easy. It causes you to have lots of company when sung in a "victim" voice. But it is harder to love.
Love the unloved, cherish the difficult, and be compassionate for those unlike ourselves. My daughter shows me how to do those things every day. It is difficult for her some days, as it is with all of us. It is the hardest part of being human. Throwing away the ego and operating from a center of love.
Thank you my dear child.....as you walk through your life, thank you for taking me along and showing me the beauty and love this life has to offer. For you I cherish and am glad you were brought to me. ~~Mom~~

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
