My hero is my father, and I can't even begin to tell his story in under 500 words. I am only 19 years old but for as long as I can remember, the strongest foundation in my life has been my dad. My father married my mother over 30 years ago and started out with as little as little can be but grew with her and later a family including 4 children. The home he made included a nice house, vehicles, education, love, and support. As a young adult I've learned how to trust, love, be honest, show compassion and persist through life's challenges through my fathers examples. Everyday he gets up and goes to work where he performs manual labor or serves on reserve in the USAF, never complaining or asking why. The adult I've become is owed all to him.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
