My hero is my best friend, the love of my life & my soul mate. I guess you can say he's your average Hero considering he is a Firefighter but he's done so much for me and the community that makes him such an unbelievable man. Not alot of Firefighter's get recongized, and I believe they should because it is them that run into burning buildings to save you and your family. It is them that leave their families and loved ones at 3 in the morning to remove you out of the glass of your crumbled car. My boyfriend is a volunteer and I can't even begin to tell you how much it breaks my heart not knowing if he is going to come back to me at night when the pager goes off. I am very lucky that him and his brother and sisters of his firehouse do AMAZING fire prevention that they don't have the structure fires you see on the news that are killing firefighter's and citizens. When I first met him, my life was in shammbles but he helped me realize life goes on, and to ALWAYS push forward. He does so much for everyone and has the biggest heart I know. Before joining the fire department he was an EMT in our town for 8 years. He has done 3 CPR saves, and has seen so much. He also talked his friend out of suicide, and didn't even get a simple thank you. He doesn't ask for anything in return and that's what makes him such an amazing man. He's been through a lot in his life that nobody should go through and it has made him into the man he is today. I am SO proud to call him my boyfriend. He IS my hero.
