I definitely believe that there is power in one. One single person and one single act can change the lives of many. I have witnessed that some of the smallest things can make the largest impact.
I would like to nominate my friend, Lev Kahmel Mills for a seemingly small impact that has changed my world. I met Lev in 2014 and with every growing moment of our friendship we began to enjoy many things together. At the time, I was vigorously embarking on a health and wellness journey. To ensure my success on the journey, Lev unselfishly gave up sugar, candy and fast food (McDonald’s Filet of Fish more specifically) for a year so that I would do well and not be influenced to eat things that would keep me from reaching my goal. His sacrifice for me was huge! Never once did he give in to temptation or waiver on his commitment.
I couldn't have imagined that one person could have so much of an impact on my entire life, and be able to change it for the better. His one act put me on a trajectory of losing unwanted weight( both physical and emotional), improving a major health issue and helped me get back to my passion of health and fitness and helping others while on the journey. Years have been added to my life and I will never be able to thank him enough. After all, he did not have an issue with weight and I feel to commit to give up certain foods for a year was a huge sacrifice. I now strive to be that person exhibiting sacrificial giving, support and love for my family and friends. I desire to be a role model that people look to support and friendship. Someone they can be proud to have in their circle and in their life.
Lev Kahmel Mills will always be one of my greatest teachers, mentor and model too!

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
