My wife is a retired RN and always takes the worst of the worse, never leaving an animal behind. She has done numerous tiny kittens who need to be fed every 2 hours, even thru the night. She has headed up events that bring in money and supplies to the CT HUMANE SOCIETY. Meda also does volunteer work for many shelters and will help in administration as well as in the OR.. She does all this even with her severe arthritis and joint disease. Meda has two artificial knee and one artificial hip. When asked why she does this, she will say " I need to give back to the community and the animals that I love so much".

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
