Role models are put on this world to make us better people. They set positive examples for the generation under them to follow and help guide us down the right path during our development. We look up to them without them even knowing. Your role model should be someone that you are inspired by. They also helps us make desicions that will effect us later in life.My Grandma, Mary, fits that definition perfectly.
She dedicates her time and money to numerous things. My Grandma, Mary, has housed foster children in her own home along with her 3 actual kids. She provided them a safe place to sleep and other necessities. Imagine dealing with not only your own children but about 10 others that have little to no respect for you. All her life she has given so much to others and asking little in return. I know I am not the only grandchild that idolizes her. From a young age she has taught me how to respect, appreciate, and help others. Those are things that I can use for the rest of my life and hopefully pass on to the next generation.
My Grandma, Mary, is an active member in her church. She tries to go every sunday and when she does, my Grandpa, Dave, and her are eucharistic ministers. I believe her faith is what shaped her who she is today. She passes on her happiness to everyone around her. For example, on her 50th wedding anniversary her and my Grandpa took all the kids and grandkids out to Susters for a broasted chicken family style dinner. She loves her family and the quality time she gets to spend with us. When you are around my grandmother you can immediately feel her positivity radiate off of her. I always look forward to the time I get to spend with her.
My Grandmother encourages me to see the good in everyone. I believe that is important in life because if you're always negative nobody will want to work with you. She has profoundly inspired me that giving back to the community will benefit you in the long run. I can see that through her because of all the gallons of blood she has donated to the red cross. It is important to give blood because we are always in a high demand for healthy blood.
From donating blood, to housing strangers, and teaching me and everyone around her life lessons, I can’t express the amount of appreciation I have for my Grandma, Mary Babiash. All of us grandchildren, admire her and look up to her. She always has her door wide open for us. If I am ever in trouble, or need of anything, she is the first person I turn to. My Grandmother is my perfect role model.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
