My husband, Neale King, is my hero. In November, 2015, he began experiencing unsteadiness from the waist down. After a series of doctor's appointments, examinations, and other procedures, we discovered he had a calcified, ruptured disc that was causing his spinal cord to be completely compressed and it could have left him completely paralyzed from the waist down. He had back surgery in February, 2016 and went to in-patient rehab for 10 days after staying in the hospital 3 days. Even now in May, he still uses a walker or cane but continues to get stronger by going to physical therapy three times a week.
We have been able to grow closer as a couple through this and become best friends again. In fact, on March 15, 2016, he surprised me while we were at church, and he re-proposed to me. We even renewed our vows that same night in front of our class at our church. Throughout all the issues Neale is going through as he recovers from surgery, he still perseveres and is more than determined to be better than ever before.
I love you, Neale Edward King!
-Your Beloved, as always.
