At first i always thought that they were just being polite and helping people out, but then i noticed something. I notice the joy on their faces that seeing other people succeed and being happy because of something they did no matter how small it was always put a giant smile on my parents faces. For example my mom choose to be an educational assistant to help out children with disabilities and everyday when she gets home she is always talking about how she helped someone with reading or made a program for a specific child to make it easier to teach them. Another example would be my dad always trying to make teachers lives easier with technology. Showing them ways to engage the children to make everyone's day at school a little better. He also helped out our neighbor build his deck just because it felt right to him. Every time they do something that puts others first brings them a joy i honestly do not know how to describe. Seeing them happy like this always made me want to be like them and help others out, although i am not as good at seeing people in need as they are so I often miss out on opportunities to be a supportive character like them.
