Mackenzie is the 12 year old owner of her Make A Difference Food Pantry in Goldsboro NC. She serves over 2500 people monthly through her THURSDAY Distributions; Senior Citizen Mobile Pantry; Kids Back Pack Buddy Program weekend nutrition program; SATURDAY Distribution and monthly cooking and serving a SUNDAY hot meal.
She has given way over 175,000 pounds of food; served over 16,000 people; cooked, served and delivered 6919 hot meals during Hurricane Matthew; provided 33,415 weekend meals for children and cooked and served 1024 hot meals as part of her Kenzie's Kids Cafe Summer Feed Program. Today she enlisted help and left at 4:30am with a truckload of food and supplies for the wildfire victims and first responders of the TN . She fed 65 Team Rubicon Diadter Team members 3 hot meals for 26 days during the hurricane.
Mackenzie fundraises ALL her money to purchase food and for her rent and utilities. She says it is more than about food it is how you make people feel. She has a heart bigger than Texas and sees not limitations on changing the world. She is an inspiration to everyone she meets.
