After the death of my son, someone wrote on his online guest book about how he had helped an elderly couple who had lost their home during a hurricane. He helped them gather as many of their belongings as he could from the twisted metal. This person told how they would always remember my son riding his bike down to their trailer for two days and only stopping long enough to have his hand bandaged, and when offered money he turned it down. I am only sorry that I learned this story after he died at the age of 20. I could learn a lot from him.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
