I met my husband 20 years ago in a grocery store. We were both in high school and we both had significant others. I knew the minute I saw him that we were supposed to be together. He had these sparkling blue eyes and such charm for 17. I ended up dating his best friend for 6 months and after we parted, I didn't see Dave again until I was 20. He was the manager at my new job. By this time we were both married and neither of us happy but very devoted to our spouses. Five years down the road he moved to Topeka and I thought I would never see him again. Both of our spouses were unfaithful and we both got divorced. I didn't see him again until I was 27 and he had a baby on the way and was in a serious relationship. My heart was so hurt knowing that we still could not be together. I had decided that maybe we never would be but I never forgot about him. Well fast forward to August, 2009, and that is where we crossed paths again. This time we were both single. So with a lot of faith, trust and love, we decided after a month to get married. May 12, 2010, I gave birth to our son Logan Rainn. I guess the moral of this story is...If you know in your heart that you should be together, than the powers that be will make it so. I have always believed in God and miracles and I know that he was always keeping tabs on us. Thankfully we never gave up hope. I married my true love and I wish that everyone could.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
