In the winter of 1979 I was moving a load of meat from Colorado to New York..(I am a truck driver). It was an extremely bad winter storm and due to the road conditions I (and about 100 other trucks and autos) was stranded on the interstate (I-80). We were all sitting on the highway in the middle of the night unable to go anywhere and just talked on the CB radio. About 6 am just as the sun was coming up there were all sorts of snowmobiles and tractors and even a fuel truck clearing the road and making their way to us with hot coffee and fuel. The people of DURHAM,IOWA came to help us. They arranged for us to move from the highway into their town, they offered us beds in their houses and really opened up their town to us. This I feel is something that should be seen more and I will forever feel a deep love and appreciation to the people of that little town in Iowa for their selflessness and help. Again, THANK YOU DURHAM IOWA. -CHARLES CAVES

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
