During the busy holidays I found myself in a grocery store very late with all three of my children in tow. As we went to check out my nine year old son came up to me and said, “Mom, look what I found on the floor!” He held up a $50 bill. Then he said, “Someone lost their money mom!“ I asked him what he was going to do, but before all the words could come out he proceeded to walk over to the cashier to tell her and give her the money. As we walked out of the store, he turned to me and said, “I hope the person isn’t worrying too much and will come back to the store and find their money.” We spent the 20 minute ride home talking about how good it feels to do the right thing and how proud I was of him. My son said, “Mom, I hope the lady cashier does the right thing and helps to try and get it to the person who lost it.” Hopefully she was inspired by the nine year old who turned it into her.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
