My coworker and I were delivering a car to a customer when I noticed a car in the opposite lane with the four-way flashers on. I saw that the car had a front flat tire. I asked my coworker if he didn’t mind if we asked the driver if they needed help. When we turned around the driver (a woman in her seventies with her mother in the passenger seat) was very distraught over the flat tire. She didn’t have a cell phone and didn’t know what to do about the situation. We told her that we’d change the tire for her. Once we were finished, she offered to pay us but we declined. I told her we didn’t want to be paid for offering help and that it was my pleasure to help her and her mother.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
