My hero: Nancy Perez
My sister and my mom are kinda alike. They both are struggling to raise kids by themselves.
My sister got pregnant at an early age. Before she got pregnant she dropped out of high school.
Then she kinda pushed my mom away. “Mom, I don’t really need your help”.
She told her. “I’ll go live with Alex and his parents” Shortly after She decided to move in with her in laws. She gave
birth to a beautiful baby girl. A couple months later she and her boyfriend broke up. She was sad
for a while but she had her daughter with her. She had to raise her daughter alone. She was
struggling at first.
She was trying to balance going back to school, a job, and raising her daughter. She had a lot
of difficultly with balancing that. She mostly wanted to get her GED, so she can give her
daughter a better life than she had. Her in laws started helping her out. They told her to quit her
job so she can focus on school.
They are also helping take care of her daughter. She is finally getting help from my mom. She
is still struggling a bit. But she’s getting through it. They are getting through it together as a
family.
