Encouragement
When my teacher was asking us to think about someone who changed our life I right away thought of my cousin Angela. Once when my cousin was younger she was a straight “A” student. She always told me “Andrea stay in school its good for you”. “After everything it will be worth it you’ll have a career and actually be someone in life”. She would never stuff, she stayed in school and did all of her work all of the time.
When she graduated she got accepted to a university. She went to the university for about a year or two. She ended up not having enough money for the year after so she didn’t go. But a year later she went back as soon as she could! As she was going she had homework to do a job to attend and school to attend. She worked her butt off she studied a lot for her test. And after everything she’s still attending the university.
I look up to her because she has her mind set to something and she’s achieving it. Her ways are changing my ways. I don’t do the things I use to do. Ever since I started high school I’ve been more focused. I’m not slacking it any more I trying to come to school every day. I want to become someone in life. I don’t want to become a slacker. I have pushed everything aside and just have been focused on school. I’m glad she’s become someone in life. If it wasn’t for her I would have still been slacking. So I’m thankful for that.
Every time someone asks me why? I always tell them that I have family that slack off, that they do drugs, and that they were never successful. In the other hand I have family that succeeded in life. I put myself in their position and think to myself… if I do drugs… ill end up in jail or I think… If I go to school and graduate… and don’t have to worry about: jobs, family being disappointed, and not having anyone love me!
As my teacher was asking I already had something to write and quick. Because I quickly thought about my inspiration! I’m actually proud to say that she’s my inspiration because without her I wouldn’t be here at this point in time. One day ill be someone who encourages someone else. My assignment was easy at this time because I already knew what to write in an instant.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
