Caring
I was getting home from school one day and I was feeling horrible. I was stressing over my grades and I really needed someone to be there for me. My mom realized that I was having a bad day so she came to talk to me about it. She asked, “what is wrong’? I decided to tell her everything that had gone wrong. She was telling me that I shouldn’t give up on my work. She also told me that, “hard work pays off.” I thought about what she said and it had me thinking.
Once it got threw my head, I decided to make a change. I started off by going to school every day and paying attention in class. After a while of trying hard I was getting results. It began with my grades going up, getting a much better GPA, and good attendance. I was very motivated to being a successful person. After some time of putting in effort in school I was satisfied with the grades and attendance. I then went to my mom and said,”you were right”. She knew I would say that and smiled and gave me a hug of joy.
One day I realized that my friend was doing what I used too. I cared about him so I had to do something. I told him exactly what my mom said to me. I tried convincing him that, that wasn’t the way to go. I would tell him to distance himself from the people that do badly in school. Hoping that it would get threw his head like it did to me. I’m not sure if he took my advice but I hope he is doing much better than how he used to be.
