I've recently relocated to Washington from Michigan. I didn't know anyone here. I've been battling my own demonds for over 20 years. Suffering from depression and a list of ailments for which I am on meds for.
The move here was extremely stressful ; and not having a good support system; new doctors that really didn't know me at all screwed up my mere. After 6 months I desperately tried to end my life.
After 2 or3 days I. Got a roommate in the pshyceatric hospital. She was exactly what I needed in my life…a BFF named Shauna. She or we helped each other get through what was probably one of the toughest periods in my life.
Shauna has been a huge player in my new life and I. Love her dearly for every moment that we get to spend with each other ∞ soaking up the moment's of laughter and moment's of creating art and strengthening our bond.
Shauna will always be my goto person when I need someone to listen or know when I need someone to set me straight. Sometimes all I need is her companionship.
No matter how long we go without seeing each other; we always start where we left off!
I will Always be indebted to her and will do my best to always be there for her… no matter what!

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
