It was summer of 2014 when my mom enrolled me to special summer class on math, reading and language in preparation for me before i transfer school in manila. My mom fetch me at 1:30 pm and we go directly to waltermart and have my lunch on my favorite fastfood chain Jollibee. My mom would let me order my meal as she wants me to be independent so i would know how to interact with different people. I ordered 1 pc chicken with rice and that cost me 82 pesos. My mom gave me 100 pesos. I handed the money to the cashier and gave me back 38 pesos for my change. As i approach our table, I was counting on my mind and have known that my change should only be 18 pesos. There is an excess of 20 pesos. I told my mom about it and she ask me what shall i do with the excess? I told her that i will give it back to the cashier. She said very good. I return the 20 pesos to the cashier and she thank me and told me that if i did not return the money it will be deducted to her salary. She even thank my mom for i was honest . My mom was so happy and she even treat me chocolate sundae . She told me that regardless of the amount can honesty be measured. Even a single centavo my honesty can me test.
