My story isn't yet finished but I'll try my best. My name is Selena and I have epilepsy.theres a couple of more things wrong with me but that's the main one. This isn't something that anyone should have and I hate it. I don't get a walk or a marathon like the other handicapped kids. There's a foundation but that's about it. No one really knows I have it so kids at school make fun of anyone who shakes or slobbers. "Omg look they're having an epileptic seizure!" The class will laugh. My mother, she's psychotic. Very ill. She tried to murder my sister and I. Threatened me many times. It hurts to know your mother isn't like the ones in the movies who are your super heroes. Mine is my enemy and my nightmare. I can't run because I have nowhere to go. She hates that I have epilepsy. She told me "I wish you died. I'm tired of paying for your hospital bills." I know she might've been happy if I did but I also know a lot of other people wouldn't be. One day I'll be free from her I know it. But until then I will remain strong and always remember to love myself.i love that I love to read and paint. That I love going outside and taking pictures of the world around me and I love animals. I love these little things about myself. It's important to love yourself. Because it's one of the things that stops you from ending yourself. Imagine this, you're having a really bad day and you're just done with everything. You're getting that rope ready or you have those pills next to you. Your last thoughts just like everyone's, is about people you've effected positively. Things you done with them and the memories that are a product of love. Now think about the amazing things you've done the smiles and tears of joy you caused. Whatever you did to get them, is a reason to love yourself. Anything you love, including yourself has to be taken care of and always doing better. Now put those pulls away for when you have a cold and save that rope for when a thief breaks in and you need to trap him. Always remember, Loving yourself is part of balance and happiness. "balance my darling is not letting anyone else love you less than you love yourself." - eat pray love

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
