“How dull life would be if we only saw things in black and white. There needs to be shades in between to color this beautiful world.”
You could say that I more amused and intrigued by looking at life through colored lenses as opposed to labelling things into black and white categories. I don’t believe that there is anything in our lives that fits solely between two poles. There are number of slides in between. Just take the example of making a decision. You can decide yes, no or undecided. But what you choose to decide results in a domino effect of opportunities and consequences after that initial decision is made. I don’t believe that we were meant to live our lives in perfectly organized boxes. I believe that one of the joys of living is appreciating each moment. I’ve never felt that my life had to be a series of events that needed to happen in an orderly fashion or fear that there was an expiry date. I think we choose our reality by the way we look at things. Ask two people that are witness to an accident. Their stories might differ depending on their perception or their level of awareness. Does that make one person more accurate than the other and by whose standards? I find that the more I experience, the more I’m open to seeing life circumstances from different vantage points. I find it makes challenging situations or facing obstacles less stressful. I also feel that it propels me to move forward in a positive manner instead of staying riddled with anxiety or relieving fear based stories for longer than necessary. This is not always so easy or evident in the moment of what appears as a crisis or event that is mind numbing; it’s a work in progress. The more you do it, the easier it becomes to remember or want to reach that next step. We all live through moments in our life that challenge us and casts shadows on our positive spirit or dreamy optimism. But we get through it by being able to stay open and keep the faith that the sun never remains hidden for very long behind dark cloudy skies. It shines again and bright fully so.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
