I just got done getting ready to go hang out with a friend. I walked out of my house when i noticed my mom was over the neighbors. My mom called me over so i walked over. There were 4 People. My Neighbors daughter introduced me to her sister who barely moved here from texas. She was wearing pajamas and seemed like she was kind of shy since she didn't know any of us.
Her sister thought we could become friends since she was 16 and i was 13. She gave me her number and i gave her mine.
I went home later that night and thought back to when i was that new kid in school, and the new kid to the neighborhood. I had barely moved into This blue house in kearns and i didn't know any one. I would always stay inside and just watch movies. A couple months later i've noticed this girl around my age coming around. I went to go ride bikes with my brother and she came out to ask if she could ride with us. Of course i told her yes. That day we got pretty close, We talked all the time. She lived 2 houses down from mine.
Almost half of the year later we became inseparable . I was always at her house or she was always at mine. She had a pool, ducks, cats, and dogs. She became my best friend! I would always go out to dinner with them or she would come over to eat. Id go with her to her moms on weekend and on the way there we would always play bingo. Bingo is a game like slug bug, when you see a yellow car you punch the other one and yell “bingo.”
She was always there when i needed her and i was always the person she came to wean she needed me. She introduced me to people around the neighborhood. Me and my brother also go to meet these to kids names Ali and Derick. They were brother and sister. We would always go in my backyard and pretend we were playing zombies. We had a big shed in our backyard and we used that as our safe place. We always had so much fun. They turned my whole attitude.
Later in the week she texted me asking if i wanted to hang out. I told her yeah. Everyday after she got out of school She would come pick me up. We got so close it felt so nice to have a best friend again. Her and i were always together. I knew she would love it here and enjoy everyday good or bad. We are still best friends to this day. Im glad i got the chance to met her.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
