I started out playing a recorder in elementary, wanting to learn how to read and play music. The only thing was, I was far behind the class, so I couldn't read or playing the notes in order to make a sound. Over and over again, I tried my very best to understand and learn how to play the recorder. After time passed, I could finally play Hot Cross Buns on my recorder. Now, I'm in 7th grade, playing flute in both Beginning and Intermediate band. I'm going into 8th grade playing in Advance Band with the knowledge I have learned. Without learning how to play an instrument, I wouldn't have the passion to learn and play more music.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
