How many African-Americans stood up for what's right? One naming the bravest man was Martin Luther King Jr. though there was a girl. By the name of Rosa Parks. I'm 11 years old and I wasn't told about her today at school but a passage mentioned she said it, the most unexpected words. "No" is what she said. She wasn't afraid to say that to a bus driver. You'd think "Hey a bus driver isn't all that!" but she surely was thrown into jail. But she inspired others to stand up to the whites and other mean folk at the time of slavery. Rosa Parks is a true example to me.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
