My story is about an art teacher who I adore, cherish and look up to even to this present day. His name is Jacques Rangasamy.
He's a man who really looks deep into the soul of each of us and always pushes you beyond your comfort zone in order for you to be the person you want to be, who he often knows before you do!
Ever since I met him 4 years ago, I remember the first day I met him - in my induction lecture on the first day of Uni. He gave off that deep-looking stare at me and I felt petrified when actually, he was sensing my deep rooted pain that I dug under my mind for so long.
Day by day, I approached him more and more, and even when I felt ill from my poor health at the time, he always wished me well.
One day, I opened up to him about my past, and he told me that this day was needed in order for me to grow. Whenever I had a problem or an inner conflict, I approached him and asked him for guidance. No matter what, he always helped me in more ways than I thought and I thank him to this day for who I am today because he's more than just an art tutor - he's my guidance to find my inner Light through this world.
Jacques, I thank you for everything you've done to support me and many others in our journeys.
You really do mean a lot to me.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
