I was around 11 when I started cutting, and I am 13 at the time of this story. It started when I had a really bad day. I cut myself again after being cut-free for over a year. I was really upset about it. But then, I called my boyfriend. I don't know why I made that call, but I'm glad I did. I left a voicemail for my boyfriend saying what had happened, that I cut myself again. He called me back crying. I remember him saying to me, "Each cut on your body is a cut on my heart." I cried. I cried until I could cry no more. And when I tried to cut again, I realized it made me sick to think about hurting him. I couldn't do it. So, I stopped cutting. I love him. You will find someone one day who loves you just the way my boyfriend loves me.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
