Wendy was my wife of 4 years. We dated in high school, over 30 years ago. Eight years ago, we reconnected, and fell in love all over again. I quickly became attuned to why she was so special: Her kindness. I had never met anyone before, who showed as much kindness to everybody, as Wendy had. It wasn't one big act of kindness. It was hundreds of small ones, that amounted to a person I was in awe of. Her smile and cheerfulness was infectious! I couldn't help but be a better, happier person, than when I was with her.
Wendy passed away earlier this year from ovarian cancer, after a 5-year fight.
I've made it my mission, my commitment to myself, to carry on her kindness in me, and strive to become a better person each day. She left that for me to do, and she never even knew that. I will pass her kindness on, in memory of her.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
