Most little girls grow up with their dad as their own personal hero. But my father is an inspiration to everyone in his life. As is frequently the case, the most generous and supportive person always seems to feel the least appreciated. I know there are days that my dad must feel that way. I want him to know that he IS appreciated. He lets everyone he loves know that they are special. All he wants in his life is for his family to be happy. He has proven time and time again that he will go to any length to assure it. He will give more time than he has, and more money than he can afford. He never goes half way, everything he does, he sees all the way to the end, and he will hold your hand the whole way if you need it. My dad is the man who will stand up at a funeral when no one else can muster the strength. And you can be assured, everything he has to say about the person, he has said to them personally. He writes down and shares special stories about people in his life that he wants to have remembered. I imagine looking back on his life, he will have very little to regret. He will know that he helped in every way he could and never let an opportunity to tell someone how much they are loved pass. I can't imagine too many people that can say that.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
