This is the story of Johnny (as he is know in the community). Johnny was born with brain damage. Because of this he was never able to read. His IQ is 80, which makes him retarded but only in the minds of people who do not know him. Johnny, with the help of his mother, took his drivers license test and his CPR test orally, and passed them both. He helps every elderly person in his community. If they need to go to the doctor, grocery store or just to visit another person, he will take them. He cannot read, but yet he always knows when it is his turn to take part in the worship service. He still lives with his 75-year-old mother. If she gets sick he takes care her; the house cleaning, clothes washing, yard mowing, cooking and what ever needs to be done. He is also a member of the volunteer fire department and never misses a call. He never uses his disability as an excuse. His behavior is beyond measure. He loves and cares for every person that he comes in contact with. His love shines in his community. And his community loves him.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
