This is to my hero, my grandmother and friend for 20 years. She was the lady I want to be and I have started to become. My grandmother passed away January 16, 2005, fifteen days before my twin and I turned 20 years old. That was the worst day of my life. She was and did everything for me since I was born. She took care of me for the longest time. Then I started taking care of her the last few years of her life. She would do anything, and I mean anything, for me. She would always tell me how important our family was to her. I've learned a lot from her and had a lot of respect for her. She had arthritis, a crippling disease for about forty years. She was a hard-worker and never gave up. Her death was not expected, and my world will be ever changed. I love her dearly and hope to carry on her traits. She will be dearly missed.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
