The song 'Beautiful' was Ami's favorite song. The story you have on TV is as related to us exactly what happened at her school. A new enrollee at her school came to the lunch room and sat at a table where no one was. No one would sit with him. Ami got up from her table and moved over to where the new student was. He stated she said 'Guess no one else was going to eat with him so she would". He told us after that the others started including him.
Another time related to us was when two boys were picking on another small boy. It was said Ami got between them and ask if they wanted any part of her. Ami was 5' 4" and 105. But she was not afraid.
Ami was killed in a car crash on March 25, 2003 at the age of 16. It was estimated 1500 to 2000 attended her wake and funeral. Of a small community that was enormous. She left a legacy of
caring and loved equaled by few. A scholarship was started by her school mates in her honor. I feel her story deserves to be told.

Your story put a tear in my eye. It is such a beautiful thing to share something special like that with a stranger. I loved what you had to say and I'm glad that you treasured that moment enough to share it with the rest of us. Thank you.

very simple, but yet so true and real. you can feel a seed of friendship being planted and it's a shame it didn't get to blossom.

This what the world needs now, an understanding and appreciation of others. It makes us see ourselves and there is no better way to see ourselves than through others.

I was enlightened by this story. Now I realize how stupid I am for not having or perhaps giving time to listen and talk to people around me! Sometimes when I took a ride from a bus and I don't like the person the way he or she talks or by just seeing his/her physical appearance, I pretended to be asleep so no chance for him or her to talk. If only, I tried to communicate to all people around me perhaps I gain knowledge from them and in someway maybe I could be able to inspire them and be inspired also.

It is a good thing for people to familiarize themselves and communicate to people around them not just your family. At this point, you tend to gain knowledge or share your knowledge together. Sometimes, at the process of your discussion you get relief from troubles.

"I think that the world would be a much better place that we could share together, as humans."
I agree with that all the way.
Empathy over aggression would make the world a lot better place. We need more of it.
