Lacey stood up and told her story. "It was our chance to be in the championship game the next day. If we lost, we'd be automatically eliminated from the competition. It just so happened that our regular coach, Bird, couldn't make it because she had to coach another event. So we had to have another staff member coach us. As coach, he got to tell who which position they were going in, and when. I, for one, just couldn't take it. Bird knew where we played well, and he didn't. We were losing, and everyone was getting so frustrated because he wouldn't listen to us. That was when he took me out of game and told me to sit the bench. I was enraged. I was mumbling things under my breath and I just so mad. That was when Stephanie came over to me, she held my face in her hands and said. 'It's going to be okay, Lacey. Don't worry.' She didn't leave; she just stayed there and looked in my eyes and kept telling me it was going to be OK until I calmed down some.'
Lacey had already pulled me aside before and asked me if she could tell this story. I couldn't help but cry, for the second time, when she told it again.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
