Margie is my youngest daughter. When she was in her senior year of high school, she decided she was going to go to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She was at the time the cadet captain in the Civil Air Patrol in Hilo, Hawaii. She applied to BYU and was not accepted, but was told to come over for the summer and take summer school. If she did well there she may be admitted in the fall. She could not afford to go. I asked her if she had considered any other schools. She said, "No. I feel I should be at BYU and somehow Heavenly Father will provide a way." Later in the spring she was given a scholarship to BYU from the Air Force and she was admitted. But unfortunately when she went to take her physical she was rejected because of a skin condition. But she had been admitted and graduated four years later. Her faith and determination have been an example to me and her mother.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
