My hero released me from fear and shame. Serving the public as a photo technician is no place for a toothless, 56 year old woman but that is where I was when Vickie found me. The absence of teeth in my mouth was painfully obvious to the finest dentist in our small community of Homer, Alaska. After she left the shop she called me on the phone and said, "Karen, no woman should have to have teeth like yours. I want to help you." I told her I couldn't afford dental work and she said, "Just come into my office and let's get started. Don't worry about money." So I thought, "Well, she must have a really good payment plan in mind and even if it takes me the rest of my life, at least I will be able to eat" So I went. She labored meticulously over my poor teeth for nine long months. The technical aspect is mind boggling and would take more than the 500 hundred words allowed here. She sent me to specialists outside of her own office and gave me a glorious new set of teeth, not dentures either! I never saw a single bill! She is an amazing woman who changed my life.
