My wife and I were on vacation in France. We got on to the wrong expressway heading south out of Paris. We stopped to ask directions from a young 20 year old eating lunch under a shade tree. He didn't know English and I didn't know French, but he motioned for me to follow him. He drove 15-20 minutes through country roads to help us get to the correct expressway. He would not accept money for his good deed. He simply smiled and said, "Viva La France." That happened in 1994 and I still tell that story to people who think all French people are rude to Americans. I will never forget his deed.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
