My hero is Ellen P. For over 15 years, Ellen has always graciously opened her home to anyone wanting to celebrate the ancient solar holidays such as the Solstices and Equinoxes. We gather every 8-10 weeks to honor and connect with Mother Nature. Ellen has never asked for anything in return except to bring a dish to share afterward for a community meal. For the last 15 years, she has given me a place to feel nourished and connected to like minded folks. I have grown spiritually because of her generosity and kindness. Having Ellen in my life has enriched me in so many ways, I have lost count and I haven't always appreciated her the way I should. Yet, she has always been a friend. I am thankful everyday that she is in my life.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
