Leon is my grandfather and a survivor of the Holocaust. He was held in the Buchenwald Concentration camp for five years by the evil Nazi regime. He did everything he was ordered to, narrowing his chance of being sent to the gas chamber or shot on the spot. Even when he lost all twelve members of his immediate family, he was determined to make it to the United States to start his own family upon liberation. Leon is a man of great courage, strength, determination, and somehow show's a wonderful sense of humor today.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
