My youngest son is my hero. I have 3 children, and they are each wonderful and special; and I love them to the moon and back. However, for the last 17 years this very special boy has lived by his own core values, to excel in school, be helpful, be kind, be a good teammate to his lacrosse team, a loving son, brother and friend as well as a great boyfriend! No matter what, and no matter how "down" I may be, he lifts me up with a smile, a quick tap of the hand on mine while I am driving - and even better, though he now towers over me and I'm 5'8, he still holds my hand in public! The other day when I was having a particularly rough time with another one of my children, he smiled and said, "Don't worry Mom, years from now we'll look back on this time and laugh..." He hasn't begun to even reach his potential, but to me, he represents everything I ever wanted to be and I am so proud that he is my son.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
