My uncle is my hero. In 1995, he got in a motorcycle accident and lost his right arm and had extensive damage to his right leg. Thankfully, he is left handed. He was always into artistic furnishings, which included building and designing any and everything you can think of made with wood. Through all his adversity, hope and life was not lost for him, he went on to open his own business, doing his very own work and not letting anything get in the way. He refuses to get a prosthetic limb, because he doesn't want anyone to think he is disabled. I admire him so much and all his hard work. To this day back in our country of Trinidad, he is making millions and even received a prestigious award from the Prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago for his hard work, dedication, and artistic abilities. He is my hero.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
