Michael Oher is an All-American football left tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. His mother and 6 brothers and sisters lived in gang-stricken Hurt Village. Sometimes he and his brothers and sisters would be locked out of their own house when their mother was on crack which was a lot of the time. Being dragged through foster care and schools, he met the Tuohys who helped him achieve better grades and become eligible for NCAA collage scholarships, which he received due to the outstanding games he played during high school. He accepted a scholarship to the Universality of Mississippi. After completing his senior year with awards, he was drafted the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft as offensive left tackle to the Baltimore Ravens. He told me if you work hard enough (because you're worth it) you can overcome anything. He is the man behind the blind-side, he is my hero, He is Michael Oher.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
