My sister is my "big" sister Elizabeth. She is 65 now, and I am 56. She married the love of her life, 43 years ago. They always worked hard, earned everything they had, and always had time or money to give to others. She was diagnosed with Cardio Myopothy and kidney disease 10 years ago. 5 years ago, her husband was diagnosed with a very rare form of cystic fibrosis. Despite all her health trouble, she always put his needs first, helped her son out, kept the house, did the bills, etc. Her husband had a lung transplant 2 years ago, and had a long rocky struggle from then on, all the while her health getting worse. She never skipped a beat! He passed away in December of 2011, but she has gone on, taking care of the house, all his huge medical bills, her son, and always reaching out to help others. She is now in stage 4 kidney failure and heart failure, and a transplant is her only option. She just smiles, takes it all in stride and continues doing what she does day in, and day out. No matter how sick or tired she is, she always has time for anyone...........she always has time for me.......

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
