Jane Goodall has always been what I consider to be a hero. She devoted her life to the study of chimpanzees in the Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania, Africa. For forty five years, Jane studied and interacted with wild chimpanzees. She was the spokesperson for many conservation funds, including the WWF. Through Animal Planet, the WWF, and others, she promoted the importance of animals and what we can do to save them. I admire Jane Goodall because I am interested in ecological biology as a career. She has had a fascination with chimpanzees since she was little, and her passion told her that she wanted to work in this field, despite its unpopularity at the time. I admire people who aren’t afraid to do what they want, no matter what challenges they face.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
