Like many people that have come and gone I was at a very, very low point in my life. I was a little over weight and had a slight speech impediment when I was going into the eigth grade. i had been made fun of comstantly being referred to my weight or speeh, or anything else. What helped me was this little documentary on the ESPNU channel about the greatest college football player ever was Hershal Walker. I watched the documentary about 4 times straight. He went through the exact same challenges that I went through as a child. He was overweight and had a speech impediment. It was so inspiring that someone so great had the exact same problems. I had already been a huge football for a period of time but seeing how Hershal reinvented himself completley with football. So that is what I did. He helped see that I wasn't what people were making fun of me for. I doubt that the great Hershal Walker would be reading this post but if he is THANK YOU.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
