This is the story of my sister. To me she is my everyday life hero. It all began with a simple wish to begin to run 5k's. With 3 children, a husband, and a fulltime job, she set out to do just that. Not only did she have to loose about 35lbs in the process, but she had to learn how to run. So last year she joined Weight Watchers and lost about 35lbs, which she continues to maintain. In the meantime she started running at 5:30am around her neighborhood. At first, it was around the block, then 2 blocks and so on. Before you knew it she was running a mile; I was so proud of her. Her eating habits were heathlier. Her body had the look of an athlete. You could even see her outlook on life was more motivational. Now she runs 5k's every chance she gets. Her next challenge--a triathlon this year. Who knows where she'll go from there. She makes me want to be a better person, and those around her can't help but shine. She always sees the good in people, and has a positive outlook on life. I noninate her for the struggle, bravery, and influence of faith in God she has had on those around her. She deserves to be rewarded for what she has already accomplished. I am sure the best is yet to come.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
