He didn't have to say much. His smile of approval was with a 1,000 words. When going through tough times as a kid, he was always there when I needed him as well as when I didn't.
Then one day he was gone and I never realized what a great man he was. Everything I do today (I am 51 yrs old), I try to make him proud.
Weird thing was, he wasn't my real grandfather as my real grandfather, his best friend, had passed away the year before I was born.
Man I am lucky for those memories. I hope I am half the man he was...
