My husband is my hero. He is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. On December 18, 2007, his transport was blown up and he sustained a traumatic brain injury, PTSD and back problems. Despite this, he began college once separated from the military. Even though studying and writing are sometimes difficult due to short term memory loss, he keeps at it and pursued screenwriting as a major because that is his passion. My husband is humble in regards to his military service and tries to help others in need rather than complaining or feeling sorry for himself. He is a wonderful man, brave and strong. He will always be my hero.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
