Ralph is my Hero because he is teaching our nonprofit,(ditwtexas.org), to think outside the box when it comes to raising funds. (I have struggled to find innovative fund raising ideas for years) Ralph has brought new ideas to the table that really work! We host free events annually that encourage people with disabilities to try new things and live life now (fish, swim, sail, play, and enjoy life) Our sponsors are local businesses and funding is always a challenge as prices for everything continue to increase. With Ralph's expertise we now have an Ebay store through Mission Fish for nonprofits. In less than four months we are already seeing results. I can breath again and I'm so very grateful for this. So many times in my work with The Door In The Wall I have experienced miraculous events and Ralph is a miracle for our organization. When looking over the values that describe Ralph it was difficult to pick just one. Dedication, commitment, hard work, volunteering and mentoring his methods with our other volunteers have to be included. I am nominating Ralph for My Hero to express the appreciation of all the people with disabilities that we serve and whose lives are better because of his work. Thank you for your consideration.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
